As much as I love using my iPhone and iPad, there is one thing the Mac does much, much better than either device. Screen space. For iPhone and iPad, every app takes up the whole screen so there’s nothing to manage.
On the Mac, we can open multiple apps, each with multiple windows, and soon all that lovely screen real estate is cluttered with windows.
How do you get app windows to stay put? Stay. It’s an app especially for those of us Mac users with a touch of OCD.
The way that Stay works is rather simple. Tell Stay to store all the windows of an app by using the pop down Menubar.
All the windows on the Mac’s screen can be put back into place by clicking the Restore Windows selection. One click to Store Windows for All Applications means that wherever you put the windows, that’s where they’ll stay.
Simple, elegant, and modestly priced. Stay is useful on Mac notebooks where screen real estate is small, but even more useful on iMac which have screen size to spare.
