Let’s talk about one-trick pony apps. These are usually elegant apps which do, more or less, only one thing. In the case of AmazingEdge Lite, the one-trick pony app does three things; all related, all useful.
AmazingEdge Lite puts edges on photos. 20 different edges. And the edges can be in any color. And you can add a texture to the edge.
There’s a reason AmazingEdge Lite is free. It doesn’t do much, but what it does isn’t easily accomplished with other Mac photo enhancement apps.
Drop in a photo. Select from one of the 20 edge designs. Change the color. Apply a texture. Done.
This isn’t a bait and switch app, though I consider it a free trial version because AmazingEdge (not the Lite version) does mostly the same thing but comes with 140 edges, but costs a few dollars.
To be honest, some of the edge designs are corny and sophomoric but if you’re into something different, there’s a good chance that when you enhance your photos using AmazingEdge that you’ll be the only kid on the block with these designs.
