Remember the advertising slogan for Memorex cassette tapes? “Is it real? Or, is it Memorex?” In the age of digital effects for photos and movies, sometimes it’s hard to distinguish real from fake.
With over a few dozen digital photo enhancement apps on my Mac there’s still room for more. The latest is StarTych, an crazy inexpensive Mac app that combines one image into another image.
What StarTych does is simple. It creates diptychs and triptychs from your photos.
Use the handy, built-in controls to add borders, border color and width, and save as presets to use on other photo combinations.
The tools are self explanatory. Add an image to a diptych to make it a triptych with a button click.
Even stack one image on another to go really artsy craftsy with your photos.
StarTych uses the Mac’s built-in color tool to change border frame colors.
I know what you’re thinking. That’s it? That’s all it does?
The Diptych or Triptych photos can be saved, as can the presets. But, that’s it. It’s a modern style with roots in history. Want to add a fourth photo? No. Can. Do.
Fortunately, StarTych is priced almost perfectly.
