One of the benefits of a big display attached to my Mac is the extra screen real estate can be put to no good use. That’s what PhotoStickies is. It’s of no good purpose at all, but you’ll want to use it anyway.
PhotoStickies grabs a folder of photos from your Mac and runs a slide show anywhere on your Mac’s screen. The photo windows are borderless and float on top of other app windows.
Yes, you can open multiple folders of photos and scatter them all over your Mac’s screen if you wish.
Simple and clever, right?
There’s a lot more going, though. The windows can be resized and you can select some of the Mac’s built-in graphics effects (filters), including rotation.
PhotoStickies does more than photos, too. It can update webcam images automatically, and record a web cam image to playback later.
