Darrell Etherington in TechCrunch on sales for Apple’s WWDC 2013.
Tickets for Apple’s annual Worldwide Developer’s Conference went on sale today at 10 AM Pacific, 1 PM Eastern, and as expected, sold out in record time, at just under 2 minutes.
Last year tickets were sold out in two hours. The year before, 12 hours. The year before that, eight days.
What about Google’s I/O?
Apple’s tickets sold out 95 percent faster than Google’s tickets for its own annual I/O developer conference, which is taking place May 15 – 17 this year, and which took 49 minutes to sell out.
Developers go where the money is.
