If a picture is worth a thousand words, then what is an image worth that’s actually converted to words? That’s what Wordify for the Mac does. It turns photos or images into typographic works of art.
Need an example? Try this.
That’s it. Photo, meet word art.
Here’s another example of what Wordify can do to an image or photo.
For about what you’d spend on designer coffee or a typical fast food burger value meal, Wordify turns an image into typographic artwork.
The saved images are fully vectorized PDFs which means the files can be edited in pro design tools, including Photoshop or Illustrator. The app comes with 45 templates to help you get started, including a ‘Surprise Me’ randomized font selection.
The Preview function lets you see the image instantly (and images can be opened in OS X’s Preview app). All you need to do to get started is select a template, drop in a photo or image, add the text you’ll need to create the final image, and click.
Tools are nominal in number and instantly usable. Use slider bars to control colors. Change fonts with a click.
Wordify is mostly a one-trick pony app which does what would take even professional Photoshop users fare more time to create.
