When it comes to graphic design tools beyond Photoshop and Illustrator there is a second tier of utilities which accomplish more than the sum of the parts. For example, typographic art knows no bounds in Adobe’s flagship Creative apps, but both have steep learning curves and a healthy, ongoing price tag.
For the rest of us there’s Art Text, a Mac and Windows vector-based design utility which creates text graphics, logos, icons, buttons and graphic elements with point and click ease.
Take a look at what can be created in minutes.
So how do you get graphics like that?
It all starts with the point and click Text Art interface. Tabs line the right side for Effects, Geometry, and Styles. Plenty of preset templates (almost 400) are included in the Templates Gallery for headings, buttons, icons, logos, and more. You control the depth, stroke, width, shadow, glow, background and color of every object.
Graphic elements can be simple or convoluted. Art Text has hundreds of shader materials, all customizable from almost 200 photo textures. Also included in the package are more than 600 customizable vector graphic icons and shapes. An extra font package is available (600 for $10– you can never have too many fonts, but 100 fonts come in Art Text).
Art Text is competent, user friendly, and makes quick work of graphic design elements and logos without the hassle or overhead of Photoshop or Illustrator. Highly recommended.
