This time of year brings one thing in common to most holiday revelers. Photos. The iPhone is the world’s most popular phone, and Mac users love the iPhone. That means a few hundred new photos just showed up in iPhoto. Here’s a very good way to take those photos and turn them into photographic masterpieces with a premier Mac photo enhancement app.
One of my favorites is FX Photo Studio, an affordable Mac photo tool which can turn photos into vintage styles, 3D look, oil painting and sketch art with nothing more than point and click.
Take a look at how easy it is to take an ordinary photo and convert it to digital art.
Controls are simple to use and most self explanatory. Drop in a photo, select the type of effect from the bottom tabs, click. Most of the effects and filters have granular controls, too, slider bars which quickly adjust the presets.
FX Photo Studio lives up the the name effects. It comes with over 170 effects, filters, borders, and other tools, including Lo-Fi, Art, Vintage, Sketches, Glow, Grunge, and many more.
Photos are easily pulled into FX Photo Studio from Aperture or iPhoto and you can export finished photos back to iPhoto and Aperture as well as Lightroom and Photoshop.
If free is your game, Fotor is a good choice, but if you have a few dollars you’ll gets even more with FX Photo Studio.
