Apple’s iPhone history usually runs with a tick year (iPhone 4, 5, and 6), and a tock year (iPhone 4s, 5s, 6s). That means iPhone 7 would be another tick year. Maybe not. Maybe the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus remain mostly tock, while iPhone 7 Pro is the tick.
Take it with a grain of salt (it’s The Inquirer, after all), but this year might be different:
The iPhone 7 is expected to look pretty similar to the iPhone 6S, and the iPhone 6 before that. New leaked images (below) give us our closest look at the smartphone yet, showing that beyond its redesigned antenna lines, it’ll feature the same unibody aluminum chassis as its predecessors.
So, less of a tick and much the same tock.
