As Dodge continues its weekly teases of what will likely be the world’s fastest muscle car (taking the throne of the 707-hp Dodge Hellcat), we now know a couple things about the Demon.

But can it top a Tesla electric car in the quarter mile?
In its latest test of the Tesla Model S P100D, Motor Trend recorded the fastest 0 – 60 time ever for a production car — 2.275507139 seconds. Never before has it tested a car that broke the 2.3 second mark. But there’s more. On the way to 60, the P100D also outgunned every other car ever tested on its way to 30, 40, and 50 miles per hour.
All from a software update that Tesla pushed to recent Model S P100D owners.
