From Josh Hafner:
The founders of New California took an early step toward statehood Monday with the reading of their own Declaration of Independence from California, a state they describe as “ungovernable.”
Old California would be the Bay Area and Sacramento (and, oddly, not Silicon Valley) and coastline down to Los Angeles but not quite to Riverside or San Diego. The rest would be New California.
That reminds me of Six Californias.
The proposed states would have been named Jefferson, North California, Silicon Valley, Central California, West California, and South California.
Sure. Why not?
