Admittedly, this isn’t one of the strangest stories I’ve read recently, but you would think an adult would know better than to bite into an iPhone’s battery. Anthony Cuthbertson:
An iPhone battery exploded in the face of a man in an electronics store in China after he bit into it… A 10-second video clip of the explosion has been circulating on social media in the country, showing a man biting a replacement battery… the man was attempting to test the battery’s authenticity.
I’m not sure a bite can determine battery authenticity, but whatever. And speaking of batteries…
Long-running speculation that Apple was deliberately stifling the speed of older devices was confirmed in December when the Cupertino company disclosed that reducing the speed and performance of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 is a deliberate “feature.”
That’s just not true. Apple inserted the feature less than a year ago.
