Many of us with Mac heritage that dates back to the last century have apps we love, apps that have many counterparts, but none that would make us switch. This is Jeffrey Mincey’s app:
Panic’s Transmit has been around the Mac a long, long, long time. Think of it as a file transfer app. You know, like FTP or sFTP, but it does more these days and, with one hiccup, works flawlessly, which, if you understand the inherent problems with the file transfer protocol, is remarkable. At the basic level, Transmit sends files to remote servers and retrieves or downloads files from remote servers.
Mine is BBEdit.
