PepsiCo is all about soda, right? Not so much anymore thanks to someone who predicted the death of soda. Kate Taylor explains:
PepsiCo’s CEO Indra Nooyi is leaving the company after 12 years — a period of time that has been marked by turmoil and massive change in the soda industry.
Soda sales have dropped every year for much of the past decade, but Nooyi moved the company in the right direction– ethically and financially.
By 2016, less than 25% of PepsiCo’s sales were from soda, equal to sales from “naturally nutritious” brands like bottled water and unsweetened drinks, thanks in part to health-centric acquisitions.
I still like Pepsi.
